Steve L'Heureux
President, The Mac Doctor, Inc.
I graduated Dean's list in 1981 from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Forestry, a member of the School of Natural Resources Advisory Board as well as a Resident Advisor. After graduation, I worked for a number of years in the hardwood lumber brokering business, then broadcast media at Vermont Public Radio as the sales manager for the highly acclaimed membership magazine NorthbyNortheast, and I helped launch and establish Vermont Magazine. In later years, I worked in marketing for Vermont ETV and National Gardening Magazine. Those experiences have helped me understand the needs of a broad range of clients.
I was introduced to Apple computer in 1989 while working for Vermont Magazine. At the time, customer records were kept on five by eight cards, and notes about phone conversations were hand-written. The Mac Plus, a nine inch black and white, was revolutionary! We started out with the simple Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and a great contact manager, InTouch. Once I got a chance to dig into the technology I was hooked, and, being highly analytical, had to know all about the inner workings of the software and hardware. In 1990 I began moonlighting evenings and weekends until it was time to take the venture full-time in 2000.
The Mac Doctor has an Apple Certified Support Professional Credential.
